Positive impact of bioethanol – as an alternative fuel – on greenhouse gas emissions

Green NCAP, in the latest evaluation of 2022, analyzed six cars: Kia Sportage 1.6 T-GDI equipped with a 48V Mild-Hybrid system; Mercedes-Benz T-Class T180; Land Rover Range Rover D350; Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost Mild Hybrid and Ford Puma 1.0 EcoBoost Flexifuel, with two different fuel systems: standard E10 petrol and E85 bioethanol (almost pure).

These are the results of the eighth test series 2022 with updated and improved evaluation:3 STARS: Ford Puma bioethanol2,5 STARS: Ford Puma petrol and Focus Mild Hybrid, Mercedes Benz T-Class petrol2 STARS: Kia Sportage Mild Hybrid1,5 STARS: Land Rover Range Rover diesel

Tests have shown that bioethanol has significant benefits on the overall reduction of greenhouse gases and on the global impact on the environment.
