Dongfeng’s premium arm Voyah made the global premiere of its first sedan, the Zhuiguang, on Thursday. The sedan, built on the company’s latest architecture, is Voyah’s third model after the Free SUV and the Dreamer MPV.
The Zhuiguang is available in three variations, with the longest driving range on one charge reaching 730 kilometers.
It generates a maximum output of 375 kilowatts and a top torque of 730 Newton meters thanks to its class-leading motors. The sporty design has cut its air drag coefficient to 0.22. It can accelerate from 0-100 km per hour in 3.8 seconds and decelerate from 100-0 km/h in 33.83 meters.
In terms of smart features, the model has more than 30 advanced driving-assist functions. It also sports an augmented reality head-up display, which is unique in its segment. The sedan is capable of gesture control as well as facial and voice recognition.
In terms of safety, the sedan sports the world’s first mass-produced semisolid state batteries, which are safer than liquid ones, and high-strength steel accounts for 68 percent of total steel used in the vehicle.
