Gojek drives in kids-friendly vehicles

Indonesian superapp operator Gojek is launching GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids in Singapore, expanding its transport offering in the city-state, according to an announcement.

The new service caters to those travelling with children aged 4-7 years and will be available to all users in Singapore from January 10, 2023. Gojek said the launch of GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids follows recent changes to improve the user experience for consumers and driver-partners.

Vehicles enrolled in the service will be equipped with one special seat for children between the height of 1m and 1.35m. For GoCar Kids, vehicles can take three adults and one child, while for GoCar XL, cars will be available for larger groups of up to five adults and one child.

“Families travelling with young children have often requested this feature for greater safety and convenience, and it allows driver-partners additional earnings opportunities as well,” said Lien Choong Luen, General Manager of Gojek Singapore.

Last November, Gojek and ComfortDelGro, Singapore’s largest taxi operator, teamed up to explore ways to address challenges affecting the point-to-point transport industry in the country. As part of the collaboration, Gojek users will be able to book ComfortDelGro taxis via the Gojek app.
