Hero Electric inks deal for 5 lac BMS units per year with Exicom

Hero Electric has entered an agreement with Gurugram-based EV batteries and off-board charger maker Exicom to supply 5 lac AIS-156 Phase 1 compliant Battery Management Systems (BMS). 

The BMS is expected to enhance the range and life of battery packs with safety and performance features such as cell balancing and proprietary SoX algorithms.

As reducing the cost of ownership is a major focus, Hero Electric plans to incorporate 1500 cycles of battery performance life, Sohinder Gill, CEO of Hero Electric said as it seeks to incorporate the latest technology in batteries and well-designed BMS for its EVs .

Anant Nahata, Managing Director, Exicom sharing his insights into the agreement said the firm has been able to advance “Performance and safety through deeper tech integration and multiple innovations around remote health monitoring, multi-level safety checks to ensure that the battery within the safe operating areas”
