India’s early-stage venture capital firm Fireside Ventures is betting big on micro-niche consumer companies as it gears up to invest from its third fund that was raised late last year with a corpus of $225 million (Rs 1,830 crore).
“Micro-niches have the potential to become $100 million businesses,” Vinay Singh, co-founder at Fireside Ventures, told DealStreetAsia in an interview, highlighting the larger opportunity in the consumer space, that’s driven by the rising income levels of the aspirational middle-class in India.
