Hexall Motors’ electric city bus ‘Bubble’ to offer industry low cost; highest seating capacity of 41 seats

Ex ICAT Director Dinesh Tyagi’s promoted Delhi-based EV start-up Hexall Motors plans to get into the affordable electric bus space.

Christened “Bubble”, the bus from Hexall plans to offer a low-cost to the highest seating capacity e-bus with 41 seats and an industry-best 85 km range on a single charge, claimed the company.

The start-ups latest offering will be best suited corporates looking for intra-city transportation for their office staff as they chase their ESG goals of moving towards clean mobility

In terms of vehicle dimensions, the Bubble is 9535 mm long, 2388mm in width, and 3150 mm in overall height with a gross vehicle weight of 8900 Kg along with a certified battery and a top speed of 75km per hr.

The overall engineering of the bus offers the highest number of seats 41 on a 9.5-meter platform on a completely flat floor. The engineering shall enable the creation of a niche lower-cost bus segment below the regular electric segment.

The company spokesperson says, Bubble has best-in-class aerodynamic drag which facilitates lower size of powertrain and battery thus enabling lower kerb weight. “This also provides for very low energy consumption. The engineering shall enable the creation of a niche lower-cost bus segment below the regular electric segment,” he added. 

Hexall plans to start with initial capacity of 5 buses per month which will be ramped up to 25 buses per month by the end of 2023. In the next couple of years, the capacity will be ramped up to 5000 vehicles per year.
