Imajin bags seed funding

Indonesian manufacturing startup Imajin has raised a seed funding round led by East Ventures, with participation from 500 SEA, Init 6, as well as several other investors and angels. The startup will use the fresh investment to develop products and services, ramp up recruitment, as well as expand its coverage in the home market and overseas.

Imajin was founded by CEO Chendy Jaya, chief marketing officer Stefanus Hodir, and chief product officer Joseline Olivia. The firm offers various types of production in the manufacturing industry, such as mold and dies manufacturing, metal and plastic parts production, raw materials trading, fabrication, and mass production.

The startup claims to have worked with more than 500 manufacturing companies and served more than 100 customers, both local as well as Japanese companies based in Indonesia.

“We believe this funding will strengthen us in maximising the potential of SMEs. We’ll continue to improve the quality of our platform and services for every vendor that partners with Imajin,” Jaya said in a statement.

DCT raises pre-Series A round

Living Lab Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Sinar Mas Land, led a pre-Series A funding round by DCT Agency, an Indonesian talent management and digital advertising startup, per an announcement on Wednesday.

DCT Agency offers digital marketing services through Influencers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOL). It provides four different services, including KOL Campaign, TikTok Live E-commerce, TikTok Ads, and Shop Manager.

“DCT Agency has been operating since 2021 and has given birth to more than 500 content creators in Indonesia. Hopefully, this [funding] will help us grow and have a wider impact in producing more talent,” said David Nugroho, founder and CEO of DCT Agency, in a statement.

Living Lab Ventures was launched in June 2022 by Sinar Mas and Sinar Mas Land to support the company’s digital ecosystem. It focuses on three areas: smart technologies that support smart city living, digital life involving e-commerce and social networking, and mobility for people and goods.
