For the fifth consecutive year, Ford Motor Company is being recognized by the 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for our progress on gender diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The index tracks the performance of public companies that disclose their efforts through policy development, representation, pay equity, culture and transparency. The framework was designed to bring transparency to gender-related practices and policies at publicly listed companies and increase the breadth of social and governance data available to investors.
“I’m thrilled that the Bloomberg GEI has recognized Ford for the fifth year in a row among companies demonstrating their commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion,” said Jim Farley, Ford president and CEO. “Our commitment to DEI makes our company stronger, helping us attract the best talent, compete, and win in an era of tremendous transformation. Guided by our purpose, Ford will continue to be at the forefront of positive change, driving action that helps build a better world.”
The 2023 GEI index results indicate Ford is on a clear rising path, consistently improving across most areas of the evaluation, particularly in categories of inclusive culture and representation of women throughout the company. Ford’s 2023 ranking punctuates the impact of Ford’s DEI policies and programs on the employee experience – from setting ambitious, aspirational representation goals for 2025 to expanding on family-building benefits, New Parent Days, and Family Care Days. Ford strives to provide employees with the flexibility and balance they need for their personal and professional growth … with flexible work arrangements and training that includes structured follow-up practices promoting allyship and measurable change.
Ford has built its brand with vehicles and experiences aligned with our purpose to help build a better world, where every person is free to move and pursue their dreams. We are working harder than ever to level the field for everyone, regardless of gender or race.
