Southeast Asian superapp Grab has appointed a Singapore member of parliament, Tin Pei Ling, as its director of public affairs and policy, while Hong Kong-based insurance company FWD has appointed Adrian Vincent as the CEO of its Singapore business.

Grab has appointed a Singapore member of parliament, Tin Pei Ling, as its director of public affairs and policy, Tech in Asia reported .
Ling has been an MP for the currently governing People’s Action Party for three terms since 2011. She is currently serving as the Chairperson of the Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) for Communications & Information.
The People’s Action Party permits MPs to serve as directors, provided they keep private and public responsibilities separate and their private appointments don’t compromise their duties and performance as an MP.
Adrian Vincent to be FWD’s CEO for Singapore
FWD has appointed Adrian Vincent as the CEO of its Singapore business, subject to regulatory approval, as per a release.
Vincent, who had joined FWD Singapore in 2019 as general manager of the company’s life business, will succeed Khor Kee Eng, who will take on a new role in the FWD Group headquarters. Vincent will report to the managing director of emerging markets, Binayak Dutta.
“Together, we are forging our path as a next-generation insurer in Singapore that is making protection, retirement savings, and legacy planning in the country easy, accessible, and affordable.” said Vincent.
