A large contingent of domestic automakers led by Mahindra Last Mile E-mobility three-wheelers, electric buses from Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), and zero-emission vehicles from EV makers such as TVs, Ola, Ather, Uber, Grafton, Quantum, Atum Motors, Bud-e Bikes, Pure EV, Eto, and Citroen passenger electric cars joined hands to kick off Hyderabad E mobility week with a – ‘Rall-E’ of hundreds of electric vehicles on Sunday.
The objective of the rally was to showcase Telangana’s progress in EV adoption and promote the message of sustainable mobility had several individual EV vehicle owners riding their electric 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, and through different parts of the city.
Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT), Govt. of Telangana said that the government of Telangana is offering incentives and subsidies to encourage people to shift to e-vehicles. “As a result, the State is seeing an increase in EV users and becoming a hub for all-around EV R&D and manufacturing,” added Ranjan.
Industry executives from Apollo Tyres, Stellantis India, M G Motor amongst others were present at the flag off.
The Hyderabad Mobility Week will feature top global and domestic companies exhibiting next-gen electrification technologies, innovative products & solutions in the EV and energy storage systems space.
The flagship event of the Telangana Government will be held between the 5th – 11th of February 2023 and will culminate with India’s first Formula E race.
