The self-employed attorney Günther Horvath is to join the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen AG and take over the vacant seat as a shareholder representative. The Nomination Committee of the Group’s Supervisory Board has adopted a corresponding resolution. Horvath is to succeed Louise Kiesling, who passed away in
December 2022.
Günther Horvath, born in Salzburg in 1952, studied law in Graz and New York and has been a business attorney for over 40 years. He was a partner in the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer until 2017, when he formed his own law firm, Dr. Günther J. Horvath Rechtsanwalt GmbH, Vienna. Since 2018, he has additionally been a member of the Supervisory Board of Porsche Automobil Holding SE and sat on the board of management of industrial foundations. He is distinguished by his decades of expertise in assisting with international transactions and advising industrial companies.
