SEAT investe 3 miliardi di euro per passare dalla combustione all’elettrificazione, in occasione del 30° anniversario dello stabilimento di Martorell
(NOTIZIA IN BREVE) SEAT S.A., la casa automobilistica spagnola, festeggia il 30° anniversario dell’inaugurazione del suo stabilimento di Martorell con un investimento totale di 3 miliardi di euro per passare dalla combustione all’elettrificazione in tutte le aree della sua attività. La trasformazione coinvolge cinque pilastri principali: persone e organizzazione, elettrificazione e prodotto, produzione end to end (E2E), digitalizzazione e sostenibilità. Lo stabilimento di Martorell produrrà veicoli completamente elettrici per diversi marchi del Gruppo entro il 2025, come parte del piano strategico dell’azienda. La trasformazione è in linea con l’impegno di SEAT e del Gruppo Volkswagen per l’elettrificazione della Spagna e comprende l’elettrificazione degli stabilimenti di Martorell e Pamplona, la costruzione di una nuova gigafabbrica per batterie a Sagunto e la creazione di un ecosistema completo di fornitori. La trasformazione di SEAT riflette la crescente domanda di veicoli elettrici e mobilità sostenibile.
(COMUNICATO STAMPA) MARTORELL, 22-Feb-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — SEAT S.A., una casa automobilistica spagnola parte del Gruppo Volkswagen, celebra il 30° anniversario dell’inaugurazione del suo stabilimento di Martorell, in coincidenza con l’inizio della più grande trasformazione dell’azienda mai avvenuta. La trasformazione, che comporta un investimento totale di 3 miliardi di euro, vedrà SEAT passare dalla combustione all’elettrificazione in tutte le aree della sua attività. L’azienda ha progettato un piano strategico per raggiungere questa transizione, che comprende cinque pilastri principali: persone e organizzazione, elettrificazione e prodotto, produzione end-to-end (E2E), digitalizzazione e sostenibilità.
Nell’ambito della trasformazione, lo stabilimento SEAT di Martorell inizierà a produrre veicoli completamente elettrici per diversi marchi del Gruppo entro il 2025. Lo stabilimento diventerà uno dei centri di produzione del Gruppo Volkswagen per queste auto elettriche e una parte cruciale della catena del valore dei veicoli elettrici in Spagna.
Il CEO di SEAT e CUPRA Wayne Griffiths ha dichiarato: “Negli ultimi 30 anni, SEAT S.A. ha creato occupazione e stimolato la crescita industriale nel nostro Paese e c’è ancora molto da fare per il futuro. La nostra ambizione è produrre veicoli elettrici realizzati in Spagna a partire dal 2025 e, nell’ambito di questa trasformazione, Martorell produrrà anche la CUPRA UrbanRebel. Grazie a questo progetto, il più importante per la nostra azienda negli anni a venire, i nostri dipendenti e la fabbrica inizieranno una nuova era”.
Uno dei progetti chiave nella trasformazione è la leadership di SEAT nel cluster Small BEV per il Gruppo Volkswagen, che mira a democratizzare la mobilità urbana sostenibile per diversi marchi. La trasformazione dell’azienda fa parte dell’impegno di SEAT e del Gruppo Volkswagen per l’elettrificazione della Spagna, come stabilito nel progetto Future: Fast Forward. Questo progetto include l’elettrificazione degli stabilimenti di Martorell e Pamplona, la costruzione di una nuova gigafabbrica per batterie a Sagunto (Valencia) e la creazione di un ecosistema completo di fornitori.

Per raggiungere questi obiettivi, SEAT sta investendo nei propri stabilimenti produttivi per trasformare Martorell in una fabbrica intelligente, implementando strumenti di dati e business intelligence, realtà virtuale e big data per migliorare i processi produttivi e il monitoraggio in tempo reale. L’azienda ha attivato un ambizioso piano di formazione per i propri dipendenti per aiutarli ad adattarsi alle nuove tecnologie e raggiungere un’organizzazione più efficiente.
Lo stabilimento SEAT di Martorell ha prodotto più di 12 milioni di veicoli negli ultimi 30 anni, esportandoli in oltre 70 paesi in tutto il mondo. Lo stabilimento impiega attualmente circa 12.000 persone ed è la sede centrale di Martorell. La fabbrica rimarrà un motore di crescita e sviluppo per l’azienda, mentre passa ai veicoli completamente elettrici.
L’economia spagnola dovrebbe beneficiare in modo significativo del progetto Future: Fast Forward, con un impatto positivo di oltre 21.000 milioni di euro. La trasformazione di SEAT e del Gruppo Volkswagen riflette la crescente domanda di veicoli elettrici e mobilità sostenibile.
