Dassault Systemes has appointed Abid Hussain, a Indian-origin techno commercial executive, as industrial and heavy machinery equipment solution experience leader. He will be joining Dassault Systemes headquarters in Velizy, France, in March,2023.

Hussain has been a part of several notable organizations such as CNH Mexico (A JV between CNH and Quimmco group), L&T and BHEL before moving to the new role in France.
His expansive experience of over 18 years in diverse organizations including automotive off highway and heavy equipment OEMs present him with the necessary skills and momentum to chart and drive overarching business and product strategy, strengthening segmentation product portfolio and filling gaps with right products, support implements, also enabling digital platforms for the brand.
A B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with elective in Automotive from JMI, New Delhi, and also holding a lean Six Sigma Black Belt from ASU,USA, for more than 10 years he has been doing international projects in USA, Mexico,China, Europe, and India mainly in an automotive or off highway segment. He also holds a few patents in his name and is a proficient trilingual with English, Spanish and Hindi.
Hussain said in a brief interview that,“My role now would be using DS tools and platforms for bringing solutions through digitization in the Farm equipment, Construction equipment and Mining industrial sector. My vision would be to minimize the gap between the digital world and the physical world.”
“There are many opportunities available for the industrial segment like more application usage of digitals twins for product development cycle, post product launch and making duty cycle of product more efficient and fool-proof,” he added.
A global automotive/aerospace giant DS is embarking on a path toward digitization in off highway, construction and farm equipment, and mining, by investing in innovative solutions like digital twins, IOT, AI and a real time parallel collaborative development platform like 3DS for the future to achieve fewer physical prototyping, testing before production build.
