Envisics, a Milton Keynes, UK-based holographic head-up display technology company, raised over $50M in Series C funding at a $500M post-money valuation.
The round was led by Hyundai Mobis with participation from InMotion Ventures, the investment arm of Jaguar Land Rover, and Stellantis.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the pace of product development and delivery.
Led by CEO and founder, Dr. Jamieson Christmas, Envisics is a company developing holographic technologies for augmented reality head-up displays (AR-HUDs) and automotive sensor systems. The company branded technology leverages holography and laser-based light sources to provide the highest possible image quality to improve automotive displays and the in-car experience in partnership with automakers and tier-one suppliers.
General Motors will be the first company to deploy the Envisics 2nd Generation AR-HUD technology, debuting in the 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ.
Following the Series C financing round, the ownership structure includes strategic investors Tarsadia Investments, GM Ventures, Hyundai Mobis, Stellantis Ventures, SAIC Motors and Van Tuyl Companies.
