Guruprasad Mudlapur appointed President of Bosch Group in India and MD, Bosch, effective 1 July 2023
Bosch, the engineering and technology firm, has announced leadership changes, with the appointment of its present CTO and Joint MD Guruprasad Mudlapur, as President of the Bosch Group in India, and the Managing Director of Bosch, effective 1 July 2023.
Mudlapur succeeds Soumitra Bhattacharya, who will be retiring from Bosch India, after 28 years, effective 30 June 2023. Bhattacharya took over the role of President of the Bosch Group in India and Managing Director for Bosch in 2017. Before that, he was Joint Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer for Bosch.
From July 1, 2023, Sandeep Nelamangala, currently executive Director at Bosch and Executive Vice President, Mobility Solutions at Bosch India, will be appointed Joint Managing Director of Bosch.
Mudlapur, who will continue to be the CTO, will be responsible for strategic growth and overall performance of the business in the region.
Mudlapur has more than 15 years of experience in the Bosch Group and has held various positions in engineering and business management. Previously, he was Regional President and Managing Director of Bosch Automotive Electronics.

Albrecht added that Guruprasad was well-versed in driving innovative technology initiatives that are expected to influence key business dynamics.
