InCred Alternative Investments on Friday said it has launched its first liquid alternative fund, Long-Short Category III AIF, of Rs 1,000 crore ($122 million), which aims to generate returns independent of market volatility.
The fund is expected to deploy a spectrum of long-short strategies across futures, options and special 1situations for appropriate diversification.
Going forward, there is high uncertainty for both equity and debt in terms of returns outlook, Kohli said, adding that this is a very opportune time for liquid debt-plus focused strategies using equity derivatives market to keep minimal risk while delivering consistent returns, Rishi Kohli, Managing Partner & CIO – Hedge Fund Strategies – InCred Alternative Investments, told DealStreetAsia.
HNIs, family offices and corporate treasuries would be the main investors in this fund.
