Chennai: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Valeo and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham to leverage Valeo’s research and innovation, industrial capabilities and provide significant exposure to Amrita students in various emerging technologies.
Harikrishnarajan Natarajan, Chennai Technical Center General Manager – System & Software, Valeo, and C. Parameswaran, Principal Director, Corporate and Industry Relations, Amrita. signed the MoU on February 24, 2023 in Coimbatore.
This MoU covers Campus Recruitment, Collaborative Training & internships, Employee continuing education, Short-term training programs, Collaborative research projects, Visiting appointment and advisory, Hackathons and Business technical events & Student interaction / Guest lecture Programs. This MoU is a first step in the partnership between Valeo and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Together, we are working on furthering the partnerships for new research projects.
“This MoU will offer great opportunities for our students. Amrita’s faculty and research centers are focused on undertaking industry-funded research projects in all emerging technologies so we invite Valeo, as a next step in our partnership, to set up a Research Cluster/ Centre of Excellence at the University premises,” Rear Adm. V. Mohan Doss (Retd)AVSM, VSM, Director, Academia-Industry Partnership (AIP), Corporate and Industry Relations, said.
“We are proud to have a partnership with Amrita University. It will really empower the students with industry-ready engineering curriculum by training them during internships. It will also result in hiring opportunities through placements,” Sanoj Somasundaran, Valeo Chennai Technical Center General Manager – Mechanical & Electronics, said.
“This MoU is a fantastic milestone in the partnership between Valeo and Amrita. However, there is much to do to further work on cyber security and other relevant areas. We are looking forward to working together with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham students and staff.
