Sumeet Tandon, Chief Market Development Officer, Varroc, has resigned. Tandon is set to take on a bigger role in a company in the EV space and operating in the NCR region, according to sources. There is no disclosure as to which automaker Tandon is going to join.
Tandon moved to Varroc in September 2018 after working for around four years with Lumax Group as Executive Vice President. At Lumax he looked after business development and strategy.
At Varroc, he was instrumental in expanding the business, looking after the components for electric vehicles. This was by way of sewing up agreements with Sensata Technologies. This is a global industrial technology company and leading provider of sensor-rich solutions that create insights for customers.
Tandon also played an instrumental role in a tie-up with British Columbia-based Delta-Q. Delta-Q designs, tests and manufactures robust battery chargers to make EV components. During his tenure, Varroc also expanded their portfolio into telematics.
Tandon completed his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College. He did his MBA from Institute of Management and Technology, Ghaziabad.
