At a time when investors have had to extend holding periods through a sluggish market, London-based Apis Partners, which primarily focuses on growth equity in financial services in Africa and Asia, has seen three exits so far this year.
“We are investing in companies and markets that are typically expanding. So even though you see all this volatility in the global macro right now, e-commerce penetration in most markets continues to increase and results in digital payments continuing to grow. Which means that generally there tends to be a healthy market for us to sell our companies in,” Udayan Goyal, co-founder and Managing Partner of Apis Partners, told DealStreetAsia in an interview.
