Global Infrastructure Partners raises $2.61b so far for emerging markets fundGIP’s Emerging Markets Fund I has a target of $5 billion.

New York-based Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) has so far raised an aggregate of $2.61 billion for its debut emerging-markets infrastructure fund and a feeder fund, its filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) showed.

The firm disclosed that GIP Emerging Markets Fund I has already raised $1.47 billion so far from at least five investors while a feeder fund, GIP Emerging Markets Feeder Fund I, also secured $1.14 billion so far from eight investors.
