We have long called for an industrial electricity price for the energy-intensive and internationally competitive industry. Most recently with a nationwide day of action for employees in energy-intensive industry on March 1st. We welcome the considerations for an industrial electricity price. We need such a bridge until sufficient cheap regenerative energy is available. Without such a bridge, there is a risk of exodus of strategically important basic industry sectors such as steel in Germany.
