Radical cut at Cariad: Europe’s largest car manufacturer Volkswagen is fundamentally reorganizing its IT subsidiary Cariad. In addition to a change in management, a reorganization of work processes is planned, the Handelsblatt learned from corporate circles.
Accordingly, Cariad boss Dirk Hilgenberg and the board members Lynn Longo (technology) and Thomas Sedran (finance) are to vacate their posts. The three managers are currently being talked about moving to other areas of the VW world, it said in the circles. According to the plans, only Head of Human Resources Rainer Zugeh will remain.
The new Cariad CEO is to become Peter Bosch on June 1, who has previously been on the board of the British luxury brand Bentley. In addition, two technicians are to be appointed to the executive committee, who are to be named in the near future. This Monday, the Cariad supervisory board wants to decide on the changes. The company declined to comment on the personal details.
