Radical cut at Cariad: Europe’s largest car manufacturer Volkswagen is fundamentally rebuilding the IT subsidiary. From June 1st, Bentley manager Peter Bosch will replace the previous Cariad boss Dirk Hilgenberg. In addition to the chief post, Bosch is also to take over the areas of purchasing and finance. In addition, two proven software experts are to support the Management Board. The Wolfsburg carmaker announced this on Monday afternoon. The Handelsblatt had previously reported on the realignment of the software unit.
Accordingly, in addition to Hilgenberg, the board members Lynn Longo (technology) and Thomas Sedran (finance) are to vacate their posts. The three managers are currently being talked about moving to other areas of the VW world, according to company circles. According to the plans, only Head of Human Resources Rainer Zugeh will remain.
