Last year, BMW wrote the best result in its company history. Both sales and net profit increased strongly. While revenues rose from 111 to 143 billion euros, the group recorded a net profit of 18.6 billion euros – 49 percent more than in the previous year. The Executive Board and the Supervisory Board have been correspondingly generous to the shareholders this year.
A dividend of EUR 8.50 is to be proposed to the latter on the day of the Annual General Meeting. The main reason for the good business figures is the full consolidation of the Chinese business at BMW. On February 11, 2022, the group was the first foreign car manufacturer to take over the majority of its production joint venture in the Far East.
