Neta, an electric car marque owned by Chinese startup Hozon, launched its Neta V model at the Malaysia Autoshow 2023 that ran from May 4 to 7, marking its entry into Southeast Asian country.

Held on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysia Autoshow 2023 had a focus on electric vehicle models as well as relevant technologies and discussions on the EV ecosystem in the country.

Hozon was the first Chinese NEV startup to explore the Malaysian market. It said the move will accelerate its global strategy that started in 2022.

It has launched three models including the Neta V in overseas markets including the ASEAN, South Asia and the Middle East.

The Neta V is one of its most popular models, with its deliveries reaching 2,502 units in the first quarter in Thailand, ranking second on the country’s list of electric models.
