Renew the skills, but without increasing the workforce: to achieve this goal, Renault announced Monday to have signed a social agreement providing 1,400 additional recruitments in France, and a new envelope dedicated to training. In return, he will launch a new voluntary departure plan, open to employees at the end of their career. “The idea is to continue to recruit while stabilizing the workforce,” says Tristan Lormeau, Director of Renault France. Which corresponds to our forecast of a maintenance of industrial activity from 2018-2019. “
75% of gross salary
More specifically, the group proposed an amendment to its social agreement signed in early 2017 for three years: christened “Cap 2020 This included 3,600 new permanent hires over the period, which will increase to 5,000, while the training plan will be increased from 220 to 235 million euros. The three signatory unions of Cap 2020 (CFE-CGC, CFDT and FO) approved the amendment, but not the CGT.
The departure plan could concern, according to the estimates of the group, between 1,000 and 1,200 people. “In general, the membership rate for this type of plan is between 50 and 60% of eligible employees,” says Tristan Lormeau. It will be reserved for employees who have reached the age of three (or less) when they retire, who will receive 75% of their gross salary. “We wanted to put in place monitoring systems to limit the loss of local skills,” says Bruno Azière, CFE-CGC delegate.
Fall of diesel
The aim is to take advantage of this new agreement to replace these employees at the end of their careers with different profiles, an evolution made necessary by the fall of the diesel, the acceleration of the electrification of the engines or the arrival of the car. autonomous: “We need specialists in electric or hybrid engines, driver assistance systems or data, as well as computer scientists and developers,” says Tristan Lormeau.
Renault has already recruited 2,600 people last year and announced more than 1,000 new hires this year. In view of departures, its industrial net workforce in France increased by 1,000 in 2017 to 33,000 employees. With commercial and financial activities, the group employed 47,700 people at the end of 2017, 1,700 more than a year earlier.
