Indrajeet Sengupta joins M&M Automotive as Chief People Officer

Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive has appointed Indrajeet Sengupta as Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, effective June 15.

Sengupta will replace Manish Sinha, who will move to Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Sengupta will be based in Mumbai and will report to Veejay Nakra, President – Automotive Division, and Rajeshwar Tripathi, CHRO – Automotive & Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra.

In addition to leading Human Resources for the Automotive Division, Sengupta will also be responsible for the Group’s associated businesses – Last Mile Mobility (LMM), Mahindra Electric Automobiles, Mahindra Advanced Design Europe and Automobili Pininfarina.

Sengupta comes with over 28 years of experience in the HR domain, having led strategic and impactful initiatives spanning both Human Resources (HR) and Employee Relations (ER). He is skilled in talent management, HR transformation, executive coaching, organisation and leadership development, and business strategy. He was recognised by ETHRWorld in 2022 among the Top 50 HR Thought Leaders in India.

Before joining Mahindra & Mahindra, Sengupta was serving as Executive Director and CHRO at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. He has also worked at Johnson & Johnson, Mars and GE Healthcare, GE Infrastructure and GE India.

Sengupta holds an MBA in Human Resources and Information Systems from Xavier Institute of Social Service.
