Thena, a customer communications and intelligence platform, has raised $5 million in its seed funding round co-led by Lightspeed and First Round Capital. In a separate development, upskilling platform Ulipsu has raised $3.2 million in its pre-Series A round.

Thena, a customer communications and intelligence platform, Wednesday said that it has raised $5 million in its seed funding round co-led by Lightspeed and First Round Capital.
Founded in April 2022 by Ankit Saxena, Govind Kavaturi, Mike Molinet, and Unmukt Raizada, Thena’s product enables Slack and other messaging platforms to be used at scale for B2B customer communications. It also provides analytics and insights into how customers are engaging with a company, which was previously a manual process.
The seed funding will primarily be invested in continuing to scale its product and recruit talent, the startup said in a statement.
Prior to this round, Thena raised $2.2 million in pre-seed funding from Pear VC and Tenacity Venture Capital.
Ulipsu raises $3.2m
Upskilling platform Ulipsu, operated by Kidvento Education and Research Pvt Ltd, has raised $3.2 million as part of its pre-Series A round, bringing the total funding to $5.7 million.
The financing saw participation from existing investors, as well as high net-worth individuals from the Middle East and Canada, the startup said in a statement.
Ulipsu plans to use the funds to expand its product portfolio, boost its presence in domestic and global markets, and for hiring.
Founded in 2022 by Sumanth Prabhu and Nikhil Bhaskar, the startup offers structured learning opportunities for all children from ages 6 to 16.
