Hinduja Group on Monday announced the appointment of Amanppreet Singh Bhatia as Group President – Human Resources, effective May 9, 2023.
In this role, Bhatia will be based out of Hinduja House in Mumbai. He succeeds Sudhanshu Tripathi.
Bhatia has 32 years of in-depth experience in the gamut of HR, handling leadership and strategic roles in multinational organisations and reputed Indian corporates across industries, including Manufacturing, Engineering/Automobile, FMCG, IT and Services.
Prior to taking over the role of Group President – HR at Hinduja Group, Bhatia was President and Head – HR at Ashok Leyland. Before that he served as Group CHRO at Escorts. He has also worked at Punjab Tractors (now Mahindra & Mahindra), Nestle, Gillette, Symantec and Volvo Eicher.
During his assignment at Escorts, in addition to being the Group Executive Vice President – HR, Bhatia also did a business role as CEO of the Tractor resale business.
Bhatia joined the Hinduja Group in 2019 and moved to Ashok Leyland as President and Head of HR in May 2021.
He holds an MBA in HR from the University Business School (UBS), Panjab University.
