Dart Family Office, Airbus Ventures back Zero-Error

Zero-Error Systems (ZES), a Singapore-based company that provides semiconductor integrated circuits (IC) for space and power management applications, has announced raising $7.5 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round.

The proceeds from the round, which was backed by the Dart Family Office and Airbus Ventures, will be used to expand the company’s global sales and marketing efforts, according to the announcement.

The funding comes amid the rising demand for ZES’s specialised solutions for radiation protection, power reliability, and data integrity in Low Earth Orbit satellites, deep space rovers, and Earth-based power management applications.

ZES, a university spin-off from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, was founded in 2019 by semiconductor industry veterans and integrated circuit design experts.

Inex Innovate acquires Yourgene Health for $4m

Singapore’s molecular diagnostics group Inex Innovate has agreed to acquire Yourgene Health (Taiwan) Co Ltd, the Taiwan-based genomics business of UK-listed Yourgene PLC for about $4 million.

According to the announcement, the acquisition will expand Inex’s capabilities in the fields of fetal health and oncology research & development, bioinformatics, biobanking, and clinical laboratory services related to reproductive health and gynaecological cancers.

The deal also gives Inex a 10,000 sq ft Next Generation Sequencing laboratory in North Asia and a 25-member team, marking a significant milestone for INEX as it can now distribute its proprietary diagnostic technologies more broadly.

Inex Innovate, a spun off from the National University of Singapore, claims to be Asia’s first women’s health technology group.
