The ship engine builder MAN Energy Solutions is selling its gas turbine business to a Chinese company. The purchase agreement with CSIC Longjiang GH Gas Turbine Co. was signed this week, the VW subsidiary announced on its website in Augsburg. The sale includes a five-year location guarantee in Oberhausen and Zurich and thus secures the preservation of around 100 jobs there.
Confidentiality was agreed on financial details. The transaction is still subject to official approvals. MAN Energy Solutions made the decision to separate from the product area in 2020 and is focusing on solutions for decarbonization.
