Eintracht Frankfurt Stadium will be a test field for autonomous driving

On Monday, the club announced that they wanted to get closer to digitization. It is also about autonomous driving.

In 2019, Eintracht founded a subsidiary dedicated to technology. Eintracht has assured the city of Frankfurt that the stadium can be used as a test field for digital projects. At the center of this are, for example, automated irrigation systems or autonomous driving.

160 sensors were installed for irrigation and the collection of data should help to save water. In addition, defibrillators are provided, the batteries of which are monitored and their functionality checked. In terms of autonomous driving, it is about vehicles to bring disabled people to their place. In addition, a robot should fill drinks, take care of the lawn or collect the garbage.

Already at the Olympic Games in Tokyo have automated vehicles been used in this way and Street cleaning robot also already exists.
