Apax Partners India head Shashank Singh is reportedly stepping down, while Google is likely to appoint Sreenivasa Reddy as the its India policy head.
Shashank Singh to leave Apax Partners
British private equity firm Apax Partners‘s India head Shashank Singh is stepping down, The Economic Times reported.
Singh had joined the firm’s London office in 2004 before joining the India office in 2007. He replaced Neeraj Bharadwaj as the head of Apax’s India office in 2013.
He will be replaced by Rohan Haldea, currently a partner working with the firm’s technology and telecommunications team.
Apax Partners invest in companies across four global sectors of technology, services, healthcare Internet, and consumer. The firm’s portfolio includes edtech company Swing, pet food distributor Zoo Eretz, and logistics company Magaya, among others.
Google may hire Sreenivasa Reddy
Google is likely to appoint Sreenivasa Reddy as the company’s India policy head, reported Bloomberg News.
In his new role, Reddy will handle government relations, legal challenges, and expansion of hardware assembly for Google in India.
Reddy is currently working as a senior engineering executive at Microsoft and has previously worked for Apple and Ericsson.
He is expected to join the company around the end of this year and will be replacing the company’s former India policy head, Archana Gulati, who left the company last year.
