In addition, the firm emphasizes that, until there is a sufficient number of electric vehicles circulating, the charging stations will not be used properly. “The private buyer often decides not to buy an electric vehicle because the charging infrastructure is not complete enough for the daily use of an electric vehicle, e-carsharing can be a solution to this problem,” he says.
On the other hand, the company belonging to Daimler affirms that if the fleets of car sharing are completely electric, the positive effects on air quality and traffic congestion in the center of the cities will multiply.

Car2go already operates with fully electric car sharing fleets in three cities (Stuttgart, Amsterdam and Madrid), with a total of 1,400 vehicles using 365,000 customers.
