Hyundai Motor, intends to conduct a series of strikes in protest against the administration of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Unionised workers at Hyundai Motor Co in South Korea have announced their plan to hold a four-hour strike on Wednesday in solidarity with the general strike organized by their umbrella union. The spokesperson for Hyundai Motor‘s South Korean union confirmed the news. The strike is scheduled to take place in two parts, with a two-hour stoppage in the morning and another two hours in the afternoon.

As of now, Hyundai Motor has not provided any official comment regarding the planned strike. However, the Korean Metal Workers’ Union, which represents various labor unions across different industries, including Hyundai Motor, intends to conduct a series of strikes in protest against the administration of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Despite the strike action, analysts predict that the impact on Hyundai Motor’s operations will be relatively limited. The spokesperson for the union assured that normal production is expected to resume on Thursday following the strike.

This development highlights the ongoing labor disputes in South Korea and the collective efforts by workers to express their grievances against the current government administration. The strikes serve as a means for employees to demand fair treatment, improved working conditions, and better labor policies. The outcome of these protests will have implications not only for Hyundai Motor but also for the broader industrial landscape in South Korea.
