South Korea-based EV charger maker SK Signet has entered into a long-term supply agreement with US charging network Francis Energy. The initial phase will provide 1,000 400 kW chargers.
Announcement of the agreement follows the opening of SK Signet’s first US manufacturing facility in Plano, Texas. This plant has an expected annual production of more than 10,000 fast chargers at full capacity. Both SK Signet and Francis Energy are participants in the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program.
“Our Texas facility will play a direct role in the build-out of a national EV charging network through partnerships with top-tier companies like Francis Energy,” said Seung June Oh, President of SK Signet America, which is headquartered in McLean, Virginia.
