Halogen Capital, which claims to be Malaysia’s first licensed fund manager specialising in digital assets and innovative investing, has launched, its founder & CEO Hann Liew shared in a LinkedIn post on Thursday.
Founded by Liew and Lucas Ooi, Halogen Capital aims to provide a wide range of investment options, including unit trust funds and private mandates, covering active and passive strategies, and giving clients access to investment products in the crypto space.
The company has launched Shariah-compliant funds such as Halogen Shariah Bitcoin Fund, Halogen Shariah Ethereum Fund and Halogen Shariah Ringgit Income Fund, along with custom portfolios to cater to investors’ needs.
“We’ve just (soft) launched in July 2023 with the initial goal of making crypto investing easily accessible to institutional and individual investors, providing access and professional management through familiar traditional structures such as mutual funds, managed portfolios and hopefully ETFs soon.” wrote Liew in the LinkedIn post.
Liew and Ooi are also the founders of Jirnexu, a fintech startup that helps financial institutions manage different stages of the customer journey, including marketing, acquisition, fulfilment and retention.
Liew and Ooi had stepped down from their roles in Jirnexu, three weeks ago, while they continue to remain on the Jirnexu shareholder register and the board.
