New Delhi: BattRE Electric Mobility stands out for its innovative approach and unwavering commitment to affordable and accessible electric mobility when the nation has set its sights on sustainable transportation solutions, Nishchal Chaudhary, Founder and CEO of the company, told ETAuto in an exclusive conversation.
Highlighting the transformative journey of BattRE and its pivotal role within the broader electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in the country, he said, “The Indian EV landscape has witnessed remarkable growth over the years, with a surge in consumer interest and a discernible shift to cleaner transportation options.” EVs have a big role in addressing environmental concerns and reducing carbon emissions as the urban centres grapple with pollution and congestion. EVs emerge as a promising solution to create a more sustainable future, he added.
Chaudhary said BattRE Electric Mobility began its journey 2017 by exploring renewable energy avenues and identified electric vehicles as a potential game-changer. BattRE’s initial foray into electric cycles served as a learning ground, paving the way for the launch of electric scooters with enhanced features and capabilities, he said.
BattRE’s philosophy revolves around creating products that are not only technologically advanced but also affordable and accessible to a diverse audience. BattRE aims to cater to the masses, offering robust and reliable EV options that address the needs and aspirations of everyday consumers, Chaudhary said.
BattRE had to face several challenges, especially in establishing distribution networks and brand recognition. However, the company’s nimble and frugal approach allowed it to overcome obstacles and expand its footprints across 21 states with over 400 dealers. This growth underscores BattRE’s ability to swiftly adapt and thrive within a competitive landscape, he said.
Charging infrastructure remains a crucial piece of the EV puzzle. Chaudhary talked about the evolving nature of charging solutions and BattRE’s approach to making charging convenient and hassle-free. He envisions a future where charging stations become ubiquitous, supporting the seamless transition to electric mobility.
While BattRE has made significant strides, Chaudhary emphasizes the collaborative nature of the EV industry. He notes that the collective efforts of established players, startups, and government initiatives are crucial for creating a robust ecosystem that accelerates EV adoption. The industry’s growth extends beyond individual companies, driving technological innovation and shaping consumer behavior.
Looking ahead, Chaudhary envisages a continued focus on two-wheelers while diversifying BattRE’s product portfolio. He reaffirms the company’s commitment to affordability, sustainability, and innovation, ensuring that BattRE remains at the forefront of India’s electric mobility revolution.
