Porsche drives the Cayenne to peak performance. In the new “Turbo E-Hybrid” variant, the luxury off-road vehicle has an output of 544 kW/739 hp and beats the previous most powerful version by 59 hp. Prices start at 176,324 euros, the coupé costs from 179,775 euros. The Stuttgart-based company combines a 441 kW/500 hp 4.0-liter V8 turbo petrol engine with an electric motor that contributes 130 kW/176 hp.
Together they accelerate the all-wheel drive from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, with a maximum speed of 295 km/h. The electric range is around 70 kilometers. The 25.9 kWh battery is charged via an 11 kW on-board charger.
Visually, the Turbo E-Hybrid sets itself apart from the other models with a front end with larger air intakes and shiny black airblades. There are also two twin tailpipes made of brushed stainless steel and red brake calipers. The equipment of the currently most powerful Cayenne includes an adaptive air suspension with new 2-chamber 2-valve technology, which is intended to ensure a greater spread between comfort and sport mode. Active roll stabilization and rear axle steering are available as options.
In addition, Porsche offers a GT package for the coupé, the ingredients of which are based on the Cayenne Turbo GT V8 sports car that was discontinued in the spring. Among other things, it includes lowering and specially tuned chassis and control systems. There are also ceramic brakes and 22-inch wheels. External features include a carbon fiber roof, rear diffuser and centrally located tailpipes of the titanium exhaust system.

The price for the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupé with GT package starts at 208,454 euros. The new top model of the off-road vehicle is primarily positioned against the up to 550 kW/748 hp plug-in crossover BMW XM, which is still ahead in terms of drive power, but lags behind in terms of driving performance. With the introduction of the new plug-in hybrid, the part-time electric vehicle portfolio at Porsche is not yet complete. Between the top model and the E-Hybrid version, which has been available since spring, another variant is likely to move in.
