TOKYO — Sompo Japan Insurance announced Friday that President Giichi Shirakawa will step down over the company’s handling of allegedly fraudulent insurance claims by major car dealer Bigmotor.
The timing of the resignation — first reported by Nikkei — will be decided in the future, the company said.
