Hyundai Ioniq 5 art car bats for Busan World Expo at G20 Summit in New Delhi

Hyundai Motor Group has begun supporting the hosting of the Busan World Expo 2030 by using a specially produced art car – an all-electric Ioniq 5 – during the 18th G20 Summit held in New Delhi, on September 9 and 10.

The art car, which was created through collaboration between Hyundai Motor Group and Korea’s representative graffiti artist ‘Jay Flow’ to support the hosting of the Busan Expo, is being driven around the G20 Summit venue and major areas in New Delhi, interacting with people and tourists from major countries around the world.

At the G20 summit, Hyundai Motor Group rolled out the Ioniq 5 as an art car to emphasise the Busan World Expo’s vision of seeking a sustainable future under the theme of ‘Great Transformation of the World, Voyage to a Better Future’.

The art car, specially produced by Hyundai Motor Group features major symbols of Busan, such as Gwangan Bridge and seagulls, as well as a graffiti design expressing the slogan ‘Busan is Ready’, which hopes to attract Busan, in Jay Flow’s unique style.

According to the Korean carmaker, as the last-minute bid to host the 2030 World Expo is fiercely underway ahead of the vote to select the 2030 World Expo at the end of November 2023, art cars specially produced by Hyundai Motor Group are becoming the face of Busan.

Earlier this month, Hyundai Motor Group’s Art Car vehicle attracted a lot of attention for its colourful design while driving in major areas of Jakarta, Indonesia, where the ASEAN Summit was held from September 5-7.
