JAKARTA — Indonesian commercial electric vehicle company VKTR Mobilitas Indonesia, which is backed by conglomerate Bakrie Group, is looking to roll out vehicles from its manufacturing facility as soon as the first half of 2024 to tap the growing demand in Southeast Asia’s biggest market, a top company executive told DealStreetAsia.
The manufacturing facility, which is expected to become fully operational in 2024, is being set up by VKTR in a joint venture with Tri Sakti Industries, a car manufacturing company located in Magelang. VKTR holds a 60% stake in the JV, while Tri Sakti owns the rest.
