NextCar is expanding in the island of Mauritius, a distinctive tropical locale with a variety of activities and experiences, the company announced this week.
Mauritius lies in the Indian Ocean, about 700 miles east of the much larger island nation of Madagascar. Madagascar sits about 250 miles off the southeast coast of the African continent at its closest point.
Mauritius is known for its natural environment and man-made attractions, multi-ethnic and cultural diversity of the populations, tropical climate, beaches, and water sports.The new location will offer a variety of car rental services to residents and visitors of Mauritius including economy, full-size, SUVs, and trucks.
“Mauritius is a beautiful country with a lot to offer visitors, and we are confident that our car rental services will be a valuable addition to the local economy,” said NextCar President Michael DeLorenzo in a Sept. 18 news release.
With a wide selection of cars and competitive rates, its new location serves the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport near the capital city of Port Louis, an Indian Ocean shipping and cruise port and commercial hub.The independent island is a self-governing parliamentary republic.
