Over the past week, I have been following the developments surrounding Chinese electric vehicles. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the start of an investigation into the country over subsidies for its EV sector on Sept. 13, warning that global markets are “now flooded” with “artificially” low-priced Chinese EVs supported by “huge state subsidies.”
