Just a day after leaked images emerged from a dealership, Bajaj has launched its latest Pulsar at Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bajaj has used the platform of the base Pulsar P150 for the N150, but given it the clothes of the bigger N160. This bike gets the same aggressive LED projector headlamp from the N160 as well as its larger tank extensions and sleeker tail section. Compared with the P150, the N150 gets a fatter rear tyre as well.
The bike has been launched in one variant with a front disc brake, rear drum brake and single channel ABS. Three colours are available: Racing Red, Ebony Black and Metallic Pearl White.
The N150’s pricing almost exactly matches the P150’s earlier price and this motorcycle will replace the P150 in Bajaj’s line up.
The Pulsar P150 sold in lacklustre numbers partly down to its slim and sleek design that did not go down well with the traditional Pulsar crowd. Bajaj will be hoping that the sportier and more muscular looks from the N160 as well as the more efficient engine (compared with the N160) will make the new Pulsar N150 more appealing to the masses. The aggressive pricing will certainly help this bike to make a strong start.
