affable.ai, an end-to-end influencer marketing platform founded in Singapore, has been acquired by the US-based content solutions provider Bazaarvoice. Meanwhile, ride-hailing giant Gojek has announced the expansion of its operations in Vietnam.
Bazaarvoice acquires affable.ai
affable.ai, an end-to-end influencer marketing platform, has been acquired by Bazaarvoice for an undisclosed amount.
Built by Affable Technologies, a Singapore-founded startup that is also registered in the US, affable.ai is an AI-driven, self-service SaaS platform that helps brands and agencies run high-impact influencer marketing campaigns.
The acquisition of the affable.ai platform accelerates Bazaarvoice customers’ ability to harness the power of social commerce, it said. “The creator economy will double in size to $480 billion by 2027, and there is no better time for Bazaarvoice to expand our product portfolio to address our customers’ evolving full-funnel content marketing and commerce needs,” said Keith Nealon, CEO of Bazaarvoice, which is headquartered in Texas.
Founded in 2017, Affable specialises in AI-driven influencer marketing solutions. The platform combines cutting-edge AI technology with deep industry expertise to optimise influencer marketing campaigns. It has raised $2.8 million so far over two rounds from investors including Entrepreneur First, Decacorn Capital, SGInnovate, Prime Venture Partners, and some individual investors.
Gojek expands in Vietnam
Gojek has announced its expansion to Binh Duong and Dong Nai (Bien Hoa), provinces that neighbour Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) in Vietnam.
People in the two fast-growing provinces can access Gojek’s on-demand services including transportation (GoRide and GoCar), food delivery (GoFood), and package delivery (GoSend) via the Gojek app.
Through this expansion, Gojek aims to serve more communities in Vietnam. The expansion will provide users in Binh Duong and Dong Nai a convenient and affordable on-demand service option, and help meet the locals’ daily needs.
Gojek’s expanded presence also provides its merchant and driver-partners with access to increased earnings opportunities. Gojek driver-partners in the outskirts of HCMC will also be able to serve new groups of customers more conveniently over a shorter distance. Drivers based in Binh Duong and Dong Nai can register as Gojek driver-partners at the two Gojek Driver Care Centers in Thuan An and Bien Hoa.
Gojek’s expansion follows several successful initiatives in Vietnam this year, including piloting the use of electric motorbikes across ride-hailing services in Ho Chi Minh City through partnering with electric vehicle startups as well as offering its on-demand food delivery feature on the MoMo platform.
