New Delhi: Volkswagen Group brand Elli is launching a solution across Europe for electric vehicle fleets. With Elli Fleet Charging, companies in Germany, Italy, Spain, and Austria can manage and optimize their fleet charging. After a market introduction phase, over 650 German companies and fleet managers are using Elli’s product.
The number of electric vehicles in European fleets is increasing; one out of seven company fleet cars is electric, reflecting the higher EV proportion in fleets than in the general population (Source: KfW Research, August 2023). The main drivers are the reduction of CO2 emissions and legal regulations, making electric fleet charging management important for companies.
“The transition to electric mobility is changing how companies organize their mobility. Electric fleet management differs from classic fleet management. Companies need an integrated multinational billing system covering all charging cases, from public fast charging stations to private home chargers with MID energy meters. Elli offers software and hardware solutions for this use case,” Giovanni Palazzo, Elli CEO and SVP Volkswagen Group Charging & Energy, said..
Elli Fleet Charging manages fleets efficiently and cost-effectively, reducing administrative work for employers and employees. The Fleet Management Console offers cost transparency and visibility 24/7. Company car drivers can charge at three locations: public charge points via app or RFID card, with simple payment and billing. The software also handles at-home charging, with automatic and documented reimbursement of charging costs. Elli offers installation and maintenance for home chargers with ChargeGuru.
Starting in April next year, Elli Fleet Charging will provide at-work charging with planning, installation, and maintenance options. Following launches in Italy, Spain, and Austria, other European countries will follow.
“As one of the largest mobility service providers in Europe, Elli ensures a seamless charging experience with the goal of decarbonizing society for generations to come. Our vision is to become one of the leading international charging and energy providers,” Palazzo added.
