Swedish EV charging infrastructure developer and operator Nima is in the process of building more than 150 EV charging points in Sweden as part of its plan to open a total of 1,250 in the Nordic region by the end of 2026.
The company is building charging points with power levels of up to 400 kW along intercity roads as well as in and around cities.
“By the end of the year, we will open our first five stations, with a total of 36 EV charging points, in Stockholm, Kristianstad Vä, Skillingaryd and Munkedal,” said Nima CEO Marcus Landelin. “In addition, we have taken investment decisions for an additional 114 charging points that are planned to open in mid-2024.”
The inner-city chargers will nearly triple the number of ultra-fast EV charging points available in Stockholm. They are designed to service, in particular, EV owners without access to overnight charging, and commercial transport applications such as taxis.
