PSA signs an agreement for its new social and economic committees with 5 unions out of 6

It is entitled “Agreement on the establishment of new representative bodies of staff within the company PSA Automobiles “and is 20 pages long and will be highly regarded because PSA is the first major industrial group to implement the economic and social committee that replaces the works council in the latest labor reform. following negotiations initiated in early March with the inter-union, the document has been ratified by five of these organizations out of six: FO, CFE-CGC, CFDT, CFTC and SIA / GSEA. 21 establishments all over France, some accounting for between 4000 and 10 000 employees, others less than 200.

Better saying social

Acting the merger of the instances (the union delegates are not affected) he proposes a better social saying with regard to the ordinances reforming the labor code, the unions seeking above all to “have the means to work”, according to the formula of Anh- Qhan Nguyen, Central Delegate of the CFE-CGC. The text therefore provides for the establishment of a CSE (social and economic committee) per site. To replace the CHSCT, the agreement mainly provides for the creation of at least one CSSCT (health, safety and working conditions committee) on each site with more mandates than the three stipulated by the ordinances. Even if it has fewer than 300 employees, the threshold from which a CSSCT is mandatory. However, in Sochaux, employing 10,000 people, there will be four CSSCTs instead of nine current CHSCTs.

In addition, representatives of proximity (PR) will be present everywhere. So there will be more mandates on the ground. The agreement also provides for the possibility of pooling the hours of delegation for PR (10 hours per month) as well as those of elected CSE and their portability over 12 months. “Thus, there are no lost hours,” said Christine Virassamy, CFDT Central Trade Union Representative.

Unions have made their mark. According to the Macron Law, they had to lose 44% of the number of mandates and 30% of delegation hours. In the end, they lose 20% and 10% respectively.
