Bertelsmann India Investments has appointed Swati Murarka as its principal, while Antler has appointed Shao-Ning Huang and Lorenzo Peracchione as venture partners and Tudor Coman as investment director.
Bertelsmann India appoints Swati Murarka as principal
Bertelsmann India Investments (BII), an early-growth stage venture capital firm, has appointed Swati Murarka as its principal. Murarka will be operating the firm’s newly opened office branch in Bangalore, according to a release.
She has over 11 years of extensive operating and investing experience, with a diverse background in technology infrastructure, AI, SaaS, and consumer companies.
“Swati will play a pivotal role in identifying and supporting high-potential startups in India, thereby making a positive impact with BII on the startup ecosystem,” said Pankaj Makkar, MD at Bertelsmann India Investments.
Established in 2012, Bertelsmann India Investments is a sector-agnostic venture capital firm. With a focus on early-growth stage investments in tech-driven startups (Series A to D), BII is part of Bertelsmann Investments, which has so far invested more than $1.06 billion.
Antler appoints venture partners, investment director
Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm, has appointed Shao-Ning Huang and Lorenzo Peracchione as venture partners and Tudor Coman as investment director.
The appointments are a part of the company’s effort to further solidify its position in the Southeast Asia region, per a release.
Shao-Ning Huang brings over two decades of expertise to Antler. In her role as a partner at AngelCentral, she has spearheaded a community that fuels startup growth through strategic investments and mentorship.
Lorenzo Peracchione comes with more than 12 years of experience as an entrepreneur, most notably founding Lummo, a B2B software company.
Tudor Coman joins as investment director to strengthen Antler’s operational and investment expertise. As a two-time founder, Tudor brings a wealth of experience in technology, product, and strategy.
